Elementary School Inspiration for Book

This advice holds true for Geary Elementary principal Sean Buchanan who chronicles the turnaround he experienced as principal in his first book, Student Success? It's as Easy as T.L.C. His book was recently published, and is available in print format from Buchanan's website and as a digital book from Amazon. Through compelling and touching stories, the book examines the philosophy that led to dramatic changes at Geary Elementary, including improved morale and parent support. "The Process" adopted by Buchanan and faculty and staff has led to an 85% reduction in disciplinary referrals at the Elementary School. Mr. Buchanan said he wrote the book in about four days "because the information was constantly swimming around in my head," but with the editing it took about two months from start to finish. Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan's first grade son, Joachim, is pictured on the cover wearing his mother's glasses. There will be a book signing and dinner at the Cherokee Oct. 26.
