Landon Holt Wins State Wrestling Title
Victory was sweet for GHS senior Landon Holt who became a state wrestling 3A champion at the State Tournament in Oklahoma City. After placing second his junior year, Landon came back as a senior and captured the state title for 182 lbs. by pinning his opponent, Mikey Riley of Blackwell, in Saturday night's Finals. Landon qualified for the state finals after winning his first two matches 21-6 and 20-6 on Friday, the first day of the State Tourney. Landon finished his high school wrestling career with a 130-35 record. He is a four-time state qualifier as well as a runner-up his junior year. Congratulations go to Landon for achieving his dream through hard work and dedication.
